About Covenant House
Every night, as many as 122 young people find safe shelter at Covenant House. Every day, dozens more rely on us.
As Canada’s largest youth shelter, Covenant House Toronto opens doors of opportunity and hope to homeless youth. More than just a place to stay, we provide 24/7 crisis care and offer a wide range of services, including education, counselling, health care and employment assistance.
To do all this, we rely on donors for 80% of our almost $17-million annual operating budget.
Every year, some 4,000 kids turn to us. Most have fled or been forced out of homes where there is abuse or neglect. They come from every background and every part of the country.
Our doors are open to youth aged 16 to 24, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or the circumstances that brought them to us.
Since 1982, we have offered more than 74,000 kids help to move from a life on the street to a life with a future.
